Janet O’Bannon – Employing Broker/Owner

Vacation Rentals & Homeowner Associations

I have lived in Colorado for over 25 years. Shortly after graduating from Adams State University, I moved to Durango. Prior to receiving my Broker’s license, I enjoyed a 20+ year career in the legal field, beginning with the 6th Judicial District Attorney’s office, then working in several busy law firms.  All of this experienced helped prepare me for a career in property management and owning my own business.

My husband and I feel very blessed to be able to raise our two children in Durango.  There are so many activities, both winter and summer.  We enjoy camping, ATV riding, golfing, and playing pickleball.

Dawn Wright – Broker

 Long Term Rentals

I grew up in Boulder, Colorado and graduated from Boulder High School. I grew up around the property management business and got my start as a young girl mowing lawns and cleaning out units. By high school I had moved up to filing and answering phones. I moved to Durango to attend Fort Lewis College and enjoyed the community so much that I decided to stick around.

I am married with three children which I adore and spend as much time with them as possible although two are out of the house and on their own. I spend much of my time at football games, baseball games and hockey games. In addition to sports we also enjoy camping and spending time together.

My husband, Bubba, and I are also involved with the youth football and baseball programs.

Trent Gustafson – Broker

Homeowner Associations

Having joined the Durango Property Management team in 2021, my career has been in construction management, real estate development and residential lending. This path has allowed me to enjoy living in Texas, Nevada and Colorado. My undergraduate years were at Texas A&M University and my graduate degree is from the University of Colorado at Boulder. My wife and I are originally from Houston. We live in Durango with our two children, where we enjoy seeking out new and fun, family activities. In my selfish time I enjoy tennis, trail running and college football Saturdays.

General questions, Work Orders, Storage Units

I started working with Durango Property Management in March of 2021. Prior to moving to La Plata County, I spent 30 years gathering managerial and customer service experience. Typically, I will be the first person you meet in our office and on most occasions, the voice on the phone. My extensive experience of excellent customer service, my listening skills, and my commitment to getting tasks completed is important for our clients. Whether you are looking for a vacation rental, a long-term place to live or contacting our office with other questions you may have, I am here to help you at Durango Property Management. I moved to the Durango area with my husband, Jeff and two boys in 2015. I enjoy traveling to just about anywhere, kayaking, crafting, good coffee, and good friends.
